Thawi Watthana Samut Sakhon United Football Club (Thai: ทวีวัฒนา สมุทรสาคร ยูไนเต็ด) is a Thai association football club based in Samut Sakhon Province. The team plays their home matches at IPE Samut Sakhon Stadium. The club is currently playing in the Thai League 3 Western region.
Prior to 2016, the club was called "IPE Samut Sakhon FC". After it was promoted to the Regional League Division 2, the club changed its name to IPE Samut Sakhon United.
History
In 2022, Thawi Watthana Samut Sakhon United competed in the Thai League 3 for the 2022–23 season. It is their 7th season in the professional league. The club started the season with a 0–4 home defeat to Kanjanapat and they ended the season with a 1–5 away defeat to Kanjanapat. The club has finished 12th place in the league of the Western region and relegated to the lower division in next season. In addition, in the 2022–23 Thai League Cup Thawi Watthana Samut Sakhon United was defeated 0–6 by Dragon Pathumwan Kanchanaburi in the second qualification round, causing them to be eliminated.
El club fue fundado en 1989 como Port Authority Football Club. Fue comprado por IPE Group en 2009 y pasó a llamarse IPE Samut Sakhon Football Club. El club ganó su primer título de la Liga de Tailandia en 2011 y su segundo título en 2013.
El IPE Samut Sakhon ha participado en competiciones continentales de clubes en varias ocasiones. El club llegó a la final de la Liga de Campeones de la AFC en 2012, pero perdió ante el Ulsan Hyundai de Corea del Sur. El club también llegó a la semifinal de la Copa AFC en 2014.
